The history of this label began in 2008 with the release of the iconic Storia Merlot 2005 Vintage, one of the most important wines ever produced in Brazil. Since then, each new edition has reaffirmed the vocation of Vale dos Vinhedos for crafting world-class wines, authentically expressing the identity, elegance, and longevity of its terroir.
The 2020 Vintage holds a unique place in this journey. Widely recognized in Brazil as the “Vintage of Vintages,” it was marked by exceptional climatic conditions throughout the entire growing season, allowing the grapes to achieve perfect ripeness, remarkable aromatic concentration, an outstanding balance between sugar and acidity, and refined, mature tannins.

On the sunlit hillsides of Vale dos Vinhedos, the extraordinary conditions of the historic 2020 Vintage gave rise to grapes of flawless ripeness, exceptional concentration, and remarkable balance. From this unique harvest emerged a wine that captures the purest and most profound expression of Brazilian Merlot.

Nose
Intense and complex. Aromas of ripe red and black fruits, such as plum, cherry, and blackberry, are intertwined with notes of mint, sweet spices, cocoa, tobacco, and vanilla derived from 18 months of aging in French oak barrels. The bouquet reveals remarkable elegance, depth, and harmony. The exceptional 2020 Vintage provided outstanding aromatic concentration and a remarkable varietal expression.
Palate
Structured, enveloping, and well-balanced. The wine opens with a broad and succulent attack, followed by mature and refined tannins, vibrant acidity, and excellent volume on the palate. The seamless integration of fruit, oak, and alcohol adds depth and sophistication, leading to a long and persistent finish marked by notes of dried fruits, spices, and a delicate hint of cocoa.
